How do I watch the streaming (non-ZOOM) content?
To access the public sessions (not ZOOM), simply click on the links. For example, if you want to attend the lunch session with Sue Powers, choose either Facebook or YouTube. The icons will take you directly to where the presentations will be streamed live.
Do I need anything special to attend the ZOOM sessions?
For ZOOM sessions, be sure that you are using a Chrome browser and that you have downloaded ZOOM. Go to ZOOM’s download page and click on the first download button. Once you have downloaded ZOOM, click on the link in your program for your registered session and wait for the presenter to begin. (For more tips on using ZOOM, see this short article.)
Do I need passwords for the ZOOM sessions?
Two sessions, Sharon Flake and Gerry LaFemina, require passwords. They are in the conference program email you received on September 5.
May I record the ZOOM sessions to watch later?
As requested by the presenters, please do not record any ZOOM sessions.
Is it okay if I share my ZOOM links with friends who did not register or post them on my social media?
To avoid ZOOM bombing, please do not share your ZOOM links with anyone who has not registered for the conference.
How do I ask questions during conference sessions?
We encourage participants in all sessions to ask questions and make comments. For public sessions, simply type your queries in the comment sections on either Facebook or YouTube. The session moderator will do their best to ensure as many comments are shared as possible during the Q&A portions. For ZOOM sessions, type your questions or comments in the chat area, and the moderator will do their best to help the presenter address them.
I am busy on Saturday. Are there any presentations on Friday?
Yes, please tune in for a special WCONA LIVE! on Friday, September 11 at 8:00 pm to kick off this year’s conference. Poet Richard Hague will be our featured guest!
Where will WCONA 2021 be held?
WCONA 2021 will be held at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, West Virginia September 10-12, 2021. More information will be coming soon.
